Self improvement is definitely not a bad thing to become scared of but it would prove to you that life is a constant process of growth and producing. Experience life, experience its negative and positive side. Improving oneself is like improving the quality of your life.

Accept That You are Imperfect and Others are Just as Flawed as You are

Sometimes we can get terribly upset and hurt when others let us down especially so if they are our loved ones.  Our world shatters when their behavior runs counter to the way we expect them to be.  We harbor ill feelings.  We bear a grudge.  We cannot accept their behavior.  Why must they hurt us like that?  Before you wallow further in your sorrows, why not ask yourself, “Hey, am I perfect in the first place?”

We all know that we are imperfect.  That’s the common denominator of human beings.  We too have our fair share of flaws.  Some of us are grumpy.  Some may worry too much.   Some are sadists.  Some are revengeful.  Some are rebellious.  Some are full of themselves.  Some are rude and demanding.  Some are jealous.  Some like to gossip.  Some are distant and cold.   Some are wasteful.  Some are selfish.  Some are stingy.  Some are ungrateful.  Some are insensitive and the list goes on.  If we have flaws, then why do we expect others to be perfect?  Why do we feel agitated when others are not behaving in a certain manner?

Although we are not perfect, there’s no denying that we are all great in our own ways.  Focus on the greatness of others.  See the good in them.  Don’t let isolated unpleasant happenings affect the relationships.  Learn to accept that sometimes people will not behave in the way we expect them to be.  Just as sometimes we may hurt others unintentionally.  See the irritants as part of the big picture.

When we accept that no one is perfect, we will be less demanding on ourselves and others and can enjoy better and rewarding relationships.

Dart Pin #1 : Negative Work Environment
Beware of “dog eat dog” theory where everyone else is fighting just to get ahead. This is where non-appreciative people usually thrive. No one will appreciate your contributions even if you miss lunch and dinner, and stay up late. Most of the time you get to work too much without getting help from people concerned.  Stay out of this, it will ruin your self esteem. Competition is at stake anywhere. Be healthy enough to compete, but in a healthy competition that is.
Dart Pin #2: Other People’s Behavior
Bulldozers, brown nosers, gossipmongers, whiners, backstabbers, snipers, people walking wounded, controllers, naggers, complainers, exploders, patronizers, sluffers… all these kinds of people will pose bad vibes for your self esteem, as well as to your self improvement scheme.

You can’t be a green bug on a brown field. Changes challenge our paradigms. It tests our flexibility, adaptability and alters the way we think. Sometimes, you may want to wonder if some people are born leaders or positive thinkers. NO. Being positive, and staying positive is a choice. In life, its hard to stay tough specially when things and people around you keep pulling you down. If we leave a goal at I want to lose weight, we would never know when we have achieved the goal because there is no way to determine success or failure. Is a loss of two pounds enough to be considered success at losing weight or did we fail because it is not noticeable that we lost weight? 2) Set Realistic Goal

3) Breaking down a big goal into smaller goals

There are many obstacles and challenges that a person could encounter on the way to setting a self-improvement goal including not knowing exactly what the goal is, or not knowing what it takes to achieve a goal, not being willing to focus on the goal on a daily basis, not being passionate about achieving the goal and also not being able to take the consistent action required to achieve a goal. 9 Good Reasons Why You Must Never Give Up On The Things That Matter

Whether you are pursuing a course of study, wooing somebody, hunting for a job or starting something new and no matter who you are, how long you have lived and where you are at your life station, if you feel that you are going after a worthwhile cause that matters to you, keep going and never give up even in the face of road blocks.

The Law of Attraction is based on principles such as “like attracts like” and “you get what you focus on”.  There is a lot that has been written on the subject and the law of attraction is a very popular concept in the self-improvement community.

The concept seems simple but there are some real truths and myths that are not always discussed.

Truths to the Law of Attraction

One major truth is that the Law of Attraction does work.  You will attract back to you the kind of energy that you put out.  For example if you are projecting fear and anger then you can bet you will attract back fear and anger.  Knowing this we can actually begin to control our daily experiences but controlling what type of energy we put out into the world.

The second major truth is that we all use the Law of Attraction daily whether we realize it or not.  The problem comes in when we realize we are not necessarily attracting all of the things that we want.

Myths behind the Law of Attraction

A very strong myth that is not always discussed is how difficult the Law of Attraction can be to put into practice positively.  As someone who has spent a lot of time learning about the subject, figuring out how energy works and experimenting with it – I have had many moments of feeling like a failure because I don’t seem to be able to attract certain things in my life that I desire.

These feelings of failure and of shame that so many have experienced after learning about how energy works can be extremely hard to deal with.  After all, who wants to be responsible for every event and every action in their life?  That can not only be hard to accept but also very difficult to deal with.

It Takes a Lot of Practice

Using the Law of Attraction to your benefit does take a lot of practice.  It is not just a quick fix as many would like you to believe.  It is a way of life and consequently takes a lifetime of continuous practice.

A Little Help Along the Way

After living the concept of the Law of Attraction for a number of years I have found one thing that greatly helps me to keep a positive frame of mind and allows me to really focus on exerting only positive and beneficial energy.  The use of binaural beats has made a major difference in my life.
