Anthony Robbins Breakthrough Review
After watching the first episode of Tony Robbins new show, Breakthrough, I felt compelled to write my thoughts about it. I love Tony Robbins! I may be somewhat bias, because I had the pleasure of seeing Tony live a few years back, but regardless Tony is changing lives and this show proves it. Now people who may not have even heard of Tony Robbins have the opportunity to feel his magin in the comfort of their homes. Now people will be able to see why people such as Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton and Andre Agassi call on Tony Robbins to help turn them around when they face challenges in their life.
I love the story of the first couple, Frank and Kristen Alioto, because it reminds you to think outside the box and remember that some good has to come out of every tragedy. I honestly believe that everything happens for a reason and that what you focus on you attract; so let go of the hurt and start working on what is positive. One thing you have to remember is that it is not your fault and blaming yourself won’t change the situaion. I remember Frank blaming himself for not walking over to Kristen and ruining their lives. Well, as I stated earlier, don’t believe in coincidences and believe that things happen in Divine Order.
One thing Tony said that stuck out to me was “despite your tragedy, you can still live an extraordinary life, but it starts with a leap of faith.” Regardless if there is tragedy in your life or not, maybe things just aren’t the way you imagined them to be, you have to have faith that everything will be ok. If you believe this then you can have a life of better quality. Tony also stated that “the quality of our lives is the quality of where we live emotionally.” So if you have the ability to remain calm and at peace despite what is going on around you, you will have an awesome quality of life. Maybe an even better one than you had when you were letting your conditions dictate your emotions.
Before Frank and Kristen were married they were both working for someone else, but now Frank is about to start his own mechanical engineering consulting business. Maybe his business will allow Kristen to be able to stay home and raise children if they ever decide to go that route, because as Frank learned in the first episode, it is possible to still have a family even though he is quadriplegic.
Tony defined a breakthrough as a moment in time when you get an insight or a moment of truth that prompts you to take back control of your life – long term. He also gave steps you can take to realize your own breakthrough.
Step 1 – Rewrite Your Story
Step 2 – Confront Your Real Issues
Step 3 – Discover Your Inner Strength
Step 4 – Redefine What Is Possible
Step 5 – Change Your Belief System
Step 6 – Own Your Breakthrough
Now I’m not sure what you are going through in your life or why you were compelled to watch the show, but I do know that it is not an accident that you are reading these words right now. I believe that you are searching for something; whether it is happiness, wealth or more time with family. There is something you want to break through. You have a divine purpose in life; you just have to figure out how to realize it.

Facts about choices and how they affect
We all have been provided with a number of incredible and irrevocable gifts that are often times overlooked. One of such incredible gift provided to you and me is the power of choice. This is a gift that many choose to utilize consciously or unconsciously. We should know that the choices we make in life shapes our lives, however we make them either consciously or unconsciously, and they will have good or bad consequences. They also represent the fundamental tool we use in facing the opportunities, challenges and the uncertainties of life. In fact the choices you are and have been making to this point are precisely what has created the kind and quality of life that you are, have been and will continue experiencing. There is no doubt that the direction of our lives is determined by the choices we make every day. They accumulate and add up to form our ultimate destiny.
Your life and the events, conditions and circumstances in your life are nothing more than a mirrored reflection of the predominant mindset that you choose to hold about your choice. You see, there are only two real choices in life, the one that is consciously made and the other that is made unconsciously, that is to say, you can either choose to be directed by the events and circumstances of life and let the river of life take you wherever it is going or you can have both our hands on the steering wheel and decide that you are in full control. You get to decide where you go. Although you can not control all the events of your life, you can always decides what the events mean to you and how you are going to respond and this is a choice. Whenever any thing happens to you, you have to response to it in order to create the outcome. Most of us have fallen into the cultural hypnosis that just passes the responsibility on to someone else. This is why their lives feel out of control. They left the choices of their lives to be determined by others. This set of people perceives themselves as victims or creatures of circumstances rather than creators of circumstances. Hope you are not one of them? If you are, thank God you are about to read this article. This article will expose you to the most valuable free gift God has given you, the consequences of this gift and how you can make the best use of the gift and that gift is the freewill to choose. You will know that no one can ever make your choice for you. Your choices on how you want your life to be are yours alone to make. They are as much as part of you as every breath you take, every moment of your life. You can not manage your life if you do not manager your self. You cannot manage yourself if you do not manage your choice. So manage your choices today and you will manage your life.

Someone can come up with the best ideas possible in order to improve some aspect of his life, but if he doesn’t start doing whatever it is that he needs to do then what good is his original great idea? The idea which would have transformed his life will be abandoned and forgotten if it is not implemented quickly. Sometimes it is very difficult to be motivated to make changes to one’s life. Most people don’t like changes much because change brings with it insecurity and uncertainty.
What is the trick to becoming motivated and to staying motivated? Motivation is what makes someone want to achieve a specific goal. It doesn’t matter what the goal is, and is doesn’t matter how big the goal. In fact, the goal could be a small goal like someone is going to write 2 articles for the next week in order to advertise his internet marketing business. Often times though, it is the small goals which produces the biggest changes because small goals are easier to accomplish than are large, daunting goals.
The first thing that has to happen for someone to be motivated is for that person to have a goal. The goal needs to be specific and it has to be realistic. It is not realistic for someone to want to make $1 million in the next month or to become an Olympic caliber skier in the next year if that person has never skied before. If either of those two conditions aren’t met, specific or realistic, then there is little hope of achieving it.
Another important aspect of keeping motivated is that the goal must be measurable. There needs to be some method of tracking the progress toward accomplishing that goal. If it is not measurable, then it is highly unlikely that goal will be accomplished. The goal has to be measurable because just keeping track of the progress that has been made is motivating. As one gets closer to accomplishing a goal, the more pride one is going to gain from watching the progress that he is making.
If anyone is to have any type of quality of life, then it is important to be motivated to do things in order to make that life as meaningful as possible. Without motivation, it is easy to feel like our lives have no meaning or purpose. Be certain to be ever mindful of some goals, even small ones, and make sure that those goals all fit the three important criteria for a goal: specific, realistic, and measurable.

How To Raise Your Self Esteem
Few people realize that the best way to achieve your goals of happiness and success is simply through raising your self esteem. It’s surprising nowadays how many people genuinely suffer from very low self esteem, and it’s a problem that most people feel holds them back from enjoying their lives and achieving their goals and ambitions. Most people feel like their self esteem cannot be changed, and that if it’s low it’s likely to remain low, but this is simply not true, the great thing about your self esteem is that you can improve it yourself, no matter how low you feel it is.
Most people assume that self esteem is how high your confidence is, where this is somewhat true, it is not entirely the case. Self confidence does come into it, but your self esteem as a whole is a lot more than this. There are, in fact, many people throughout the world who are very confident yet have very low self esteem, people who often fall into this category tend to be singers, actors and comedians, who often give off an aura of confidence on stage, yet off stage they feel insecure. The word ‘esteem’ itself is actually Latin, and means ‘to estimate’ therefore, self esteem is how you estimate yourself as a person. In order to do this, there are 5 questions you must ask yourself, and the answers will dictate your self-esteem.
These questions are:
Am I deserving of love?
Do I think that I am a good human being?
Am I deserving of happiness?
Deep down, do I feel that I am a good person?
And finally, Do I like myself?
Those who find it hard to answer any of those questions with ‘yes’ are often sufferers of poor self esteem. If you found that you answered many of these questions with ‘no’ then you’re not alone, and there are things that you can do in order to improve your self esteem as well as your quality of life.
The first step is to simply take on board that you are a wonderful and special, and there is nobody in the world like you, you are completely unique, all your thoughts and feelings are all your own and you are the only one in control. This means that out of a total of over six billion people in the whole world, you are a one-off creation and completely original. So surely, if you are the only one of you on the whole planet, then surely you should feel and accept that you have just as much right as any other person to be on this earth? It’s an unusual way of looking at it, but this simple first step can often open up your eyes to the world around you and your originality.
The second thing is to realize that you are entitled to make mistakes, just like anyone else, the only way we learn is by getting things wrong before we get them right, do stop being so hard on yourself, you’re only human and you have the right to make mistakes sometimes. Respect yourself and allow yourself to make these mistakes, and above all, don’t beat yourself up afterwards.
There are a few other things you can do that might help you to realize the positives about yourself and raise your self esteem. One popular technique is the ’50 things I like about me’ list, this list is something you need to write yourself and if you’re severely lacking in self esteem it could take you quite a while, but persevere, don’t try and write it if you’re having a particularly low or bad day, take time out when you’re feeling okay and create a list of things that you like about yourself. Having this list is a great thing to come back to, as you start to think throughout your day about the different things you may not have realized that you do that you like about yourself. It’s sounds unusual, but it’s worth a go, and it can work wonders. You can write anything from your characteristics, your looks, even the nice things you do from day to day. Once it’s completed, keep it somewhere that you can see it and be constantly reminded that you have many good qualities. Once you’ve reached 50 comes the hard part, try and add to it every so often, for the rest of your life, in order to constantly remind yourself of the good things you do from day to day.
Self esteem can be awkward to raise, especially if yours is particularly low, but it can be done, and starting small is the best thing you can do. Try these tips, and you might be surprised about the difference it makes on the short and long term.
If this seems too difficult to accomplish by yourself, you may need the assistance of a coach. A coach will help you stay on task, see things about yourself that you don’t see, guide you and motivate you to discover who you really are and all you can accomplish when you believe in yourself. Who needs a coach? We all do!

Genuine Happiness Comes from Within
Life isn’t the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere – “How did their life become so adorably sweet? How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life?” Then I pause and observed for awhile… I figured out that maybe, they start to work on a place called ‘self’.
So, how does one become genuinely happy? Step 1 is to love yourself.
My theology professor once said that “loving means accepting.” To love oneself means to accept that you are not a perfect being, but behind the imperfections must lie a great ounce of courage to be able to discover ways on how to improve your repertoire to recover from our mistakes.
Genuine happiness also pertains to contentment. When you are contented with the job you have, the way you look, with your family, your friends, the place you live in, your car, and all the things you now have – truly, you know the answer to the question “how to be genuinely happy.”
When we discover a small start somewhere from within, that small start will eventually lead to something else, and to something else. But if you keep questioning life lit it has never done you any good, you will never be able to find genuine happiness.
I believe that life is about finding out about right and wrong, trying and failing, wining and losing. These are things that happen as often as you inhale and exhale. Failure, in a person’s life has become as abundant and necessary as air. But this should not hinder us from becoming happy.
How to be genuinely happy in spite all these? I tell you… every time you exert effort to improve the quality of life and your being, whether it is cleaning up your room, helping a friend, taking care of your sick dog, fail on board exams and trying again, life gives you equivalent points for that.
Imagine life as a big score board like those which are used in the NFLs. Every time you take a step forward, you make scoring points. Wouldn’t it be nice to look at that board at the end of each game and think to yourself “Whew! I got a point today. I’m glad I gave it a shot.”, instead of looking at it all blank and murmur “Geez, I didn’t even hit a score today. I wish I had the guts to try out. We could have won!” and then walk away.
Genuine happiness isn’t about driving the hottest Formula 1 car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest 13th month pay, or beating the sales quota. Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life doesn’t always go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or not even the best. So, how do you become genuinely happy? Every one has his own definition of ‘happiness’. Happiness for a writer may mean launching as much best selling books as possible. Happiness for a basketball rookie may mean getting the rookie of the year award. Happiness for a beggar may mean a lot of money. Happiness for a business man may mean success. So, really now, how do we become genuinely happy? Simple. You don’t have to have the best things in this world. Its about doing and making the best out of every single thing. When you find yourself smiling at your own mistake and telling your self “Oh, I’ll do better next time”, you carry with you a flame of strong will power to persevere that may spread out like a brush fire. You possess a willingness to stand up again and try – that will make you a genuinely happy person.
When you learn to accept yourself and your own faults. You pass step 1 in the project “how to become genuinely happy”.For as long as you know how to accept others, you will also be accepted. For as long as you love and know how to love, you will receive love ten folds back.
Again, throw me that same question “how to become genuinely happy?”. I’ll refer you to a friend of mine who strongly quoted- “Most of us know that laughter is the best medicine to life’s aches and pain. But most of us don’t know that the best kind of laughter is laughter over self. Coz then you don’t just become happy… you become free.”

Don't Let the Fear of Failure Limit Your Potential
I hear people all the time complain about their employment situation over and over. I know a few people who have had the same job since I’ve known them and even though they’ve stayed at the same place for as many as 30 years, every time I see them they tell me how much they hate their job. They complain about how their boss doesn’t treat them right and about how tedious it is.
I don’t get it!
Why would anyone stay in a situation that brings them nothing but unhappiness? I’ve even heard these same people tell me about how they are always looking but just can’t find a job “as good as” the job they currently have.
Huh? Are they kidding?
Being an entrepreneur I typically recommend starting their own business. I believe that if you find something you’re extremely passionate about, that you’d love to do every day, and you put some thought into how to turn that passion into a business, you can come up with something that could generate an excellent living.
Most importantly you can improve your quality of life immensely! All the money in the world isn’t worth anything if your quality of life sucks.
I am not saying that starting a business is always the answer, in fact, I don’t believe the majority of the people in this world are cut out to be business owners. The problem is there are still many people who are, and many of these people never give it a shot.
It wouldn’t matter if they had a fool proof business plan, all the financial backing in the world, and Donald Trump whispering in their ear guiding them the whole way. They’ll still stay in that crappy job and complain and moan about it every day like they had for the previous 30 some years.
Why the heck would someone subject themselves to that? Well the answer is very easy.
They are afraid to fail!
Personally I think the fear of failure is completely irrational.
I’m extremely competitive and hate losing more than most people I know, but I could NEVER imagine spending my last dying seconds reviewing my life and realizing that I never put myself in a postion to succeed because I was afraid to fail.
I am not only talking about monetary success, or just business ownership. I am talking about anything.
There are people who never get married because they are too afraid of failing and getting divorced. There are others who never try to get an education because they are afraid they won’t pass and will ultimately fail. And then there are the others who spend every single day hating their job but never look for another one because they are afraid the new job won’t work out.
I once heard an acronym for fear which couldn’t be more accurate. That acronym is …
False Evidence Appearing Real
The next time you find yourself paralyzed by fear or not taking action because you’re afraid it won’t work out.
Stop for a second …
Imagine the worst possible result that might occur if you did fail …
And ask yourself if you could live with it if that result happened.
If the answer is yes (and in almost every case it will be), GO FOR IT!
I promise you the price you’ll pay for failing will be far less than the price you’ll pay for regretting you never took a chance to improve your life.
The most successful people on earth have failed over and over until they finally succeed, and then people point to them and say how “lucky” they are. They aren’t lucky and in some cases they aren’t any smarter than the average person. They were just determined to continue on and on until they made it … and they did!
It’s funny how small the failures look once you’ve finally succeeded.
If you’ve got something you’ve wanted to do, but haven’t moved forward with it because you are afraid it won’t work out, I hope this article helps give you the push needed. If it does and your plan doesn’t work out, you’ll find out it isn’t that bad and I am quite sure it’ll be much easier to move on to the next plan!
