Start the Day Fresh

These are tough times – emotionally and financially – and in order your start your day on a positive note, you must take active control of your thoughts.

A while back I wrote an article that explained how I use a method to compartmentalize my own personal situations.  In other words, I know that there are problems and situations that I must deal with at some point in my life, but that time might not come for another day or another month.  I’ve taught myself to put those issues in the back of my mind – in a mental “compartment,” if you will – which allows me to deal with the most immediate situations first.  Those issues that I have to concern myself with next week won’t be interfering with my current daily routine until the time comes to deal with them appropriately.

It’s not that I’m ignoring the problem; it’s more about postponing action until action is required.  It takes time to master the knack of doing this but once you can control your thoughts a little better, you’ll notice that life won’t seem like an insurmountable task.  Taking little chunks and handling each thing in a priority order certainly will help you develop a more positive attitude about your life.

Even before you get out of bed, stretch your body and your mind and prepare for the day ahead.  Quote to yourself some positive affirmations knowing that if you think it, it will likely happen.  If you get up in the morning with a negative mindset, your whole day will reflect that attitude.  I guarantee it!  Instead, get up with a positive thought, before a random life event takes hold of your daily routine.  Things happen and most of how these events affect you is entirely the result of how you mentally handle and accept each situation that comes into your life.

It’s really very easy – if you think you CAN’T you will never accomplish anything.  You remember as a child when you were first read the story of the “little engine that could.”  The little train was chugging up the hill just saying to itself over and over – “I think I can, I think I can.”  Well, it didn’t make any progress until it started telling itself– “I KNOW I CAN!”   The moment you know you can you will help you begin to see how your mental state of being will always assist you in attaining the next goal, your next life objective.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had plenty of rough spots in my life and there were times when I felt the only thing to do was to give up.  But someone gave me this same advice and I decided to try it.  Once I could rearrange my thoughts from mostly negative to mostly positive, amazing things started happening to me.  Those issues that I once thought were “mountains” that I could never climb suddenly flattened out and I could now run rather than limp through my life.   I also found that there were quite a few people out there who were willing to help me overcome some of my challenges.  In short, my life started changing for the best and I’ve never looked back.

Unexpected things in life will occur, anther great and logical reason to get your mind set on a more positive course now.  If you have a stable mental process, when you hit one of life’s snags, you’ll be more likely to handle it more productively.  Kind of like saving up financially for the proverbial “rainy day.”  By preparing, whether mentally or financially, you’re ready for anything that might throw some problems your way.

So from this day forward, begin each new day by first taking positive control of your thought process.  Don’t dwell on the bad stuff; instead think about the good things in your life a little more than you have been.  Be thankful for your family and friends, your health, your experiences, and your dreams and you will soon find that your dreams will soon become the reality you’ve always hoped for.  It happens – it’s happened to me.

When life knocks you down

Has life ever knocked you down? If YES are you still lying down and waiting for help, are you trying to get sympathy as to how badly you are knocked down? Are you trying to find faults to blame someone? If your answer is NO , well the good news is life will knock you down soon and the question is not whether it will happen or not the question is ARE you ready to get up again when life will knock you flat on your face ?

Life is like a roller coaster, sometimes it will be up and sometimes down, during the uptimes we keep everything in our bank, during down times we keep everything in our heart. Negatives are more powerful than positives and our brain responds to negatives more quickly than a positive thing that happens in our life.

The biggest manufacturing unit lies not in a factory but right at the top of a human body and that’s our brain. You give it one negative thought and the brain will start manufacturing literally hundreds and thousands of reasons to support that. BEWARE of what you think because it’s the same with one positive thought. More we think negative more our brain starts supporting it and slowly the once strong hearted person slides into a person filled with depression.

Solutions-

1)      Be careful in what you think for example when you get up from bed early morning if you say the weathers bad trust me your entire day will go bad , have you ever realized that how many of your days have gone bad just like that. Get up every morning with a Big Smile and say what a wonderful day and you have an opportunity to change yours and others life and you will see the difference.

2)      Have you ever come across some good motivational books? Have you taken out time to even read the good books that are lying on your shelf eating dust. If you have the time to watch television, read newspaper and surf on the net than you definitely have time to read a positive book for at least 15 minutes a day. This is time investing in your own self; if not then what are you investing your time in.

3)      Spend time with your family because these are the people who will be there to support you. Love them respect them and share your problems with them.  Choose your friends right. Don’t hang around with losers. Friends are something that you can either grow up with or go down with, choice is yours.

4)      Set your goals, your targets, don’t leave it for tomorrow. Stay motivated in whatever you do and try to be the motivation for others. It doesn’t take much, just a pat on the back and say you can do it. It will do a world of good to someone because not many people do that.

5)      Pray and ask God for the guidance cause He knows. God has time for us in every breath we take but we have time for HIM only on Sundays.

Last but not the least remember the universal language “Smile”, in every culture in every corner of this planet it’s the same. You reap what you sow, you get what you give. Smile and you will get a smile back. Follow these simple steps and no matter how hard life knocks you down you will have the power to get up every time and all the time. God bless.

How to Use “Belief” for Success: Part 1

Many of us have read endless books on attracting success and prosperity, books that promise you that all of your dreams will come true. You will attract more wealth, get the promotion, be in perfect health, or get the loving relationship that you always wanted. Many different tips and techniques are offered forth in these books from the very simplistic to the very complex and time consuming. However, there is one point that almost all of the books agree on. You have to believe it if you want to achieve it. No doubt scores of people have devoured every one of these books and came out no better off than they started. Why?

A major cause of the failures of these systems is that even though they tell you to “believe”, none of them tell you how you can teach yourself to believe. Maybe you just think you believe but deep down inside you really don’t. Maybe you’ve been in negative circumstances for so long that you can’t even begin to conceive of them changing for the better. If you can’t teach yourself to truly believe then your circumstances really won’t ever change for the better no matter how many success books you read.

If you are a frequent reader of such book you have no doubt been advised time and again to “think positive” and to “guard against negative thoughts”. They tell you if a negative thought comes into your mind to immediately banish it and replace it with a positive thought. Simple, right? Not really. What they don’t take into account is that if you are reading such books you probably have had little if any success in your life or you wouldn’t be reading them in the first place.

Perhaps a river of negative thoughts has flowed through your mind for so long that it has created a “Grand Canyon” of negativity in your mind. In situations like this an occasional, weak, positive thought is not enough to overcome failure and replace it with victory. You have to learn to fill in that “Grand Canyon” with the soil of positive thoughts. BUT, unfortunately these books rarely if ever say exactly “how” to do it.
