The Power of Positive Affirmations
A cliche that you usually hear from a movie or television show is, “It’s all in the mind.” When you hear this statement, it is being suggested that all the things that happen in your life, every little thing that you experience is brought about by your thinking. Yes, your mind is a powerful source of eventful situations. This is not unknown to many, especially to the people who have successfully made history in the world.
Positive affirmations are a facet of a law that governs the universe. This law has been here since the world began and it is connected to the minds of every human being. The law of attraction is the universal law that governs you and every other individual on earth. This law states that anything you conceive in your mind can easily be achieved. The law of attraction exempts no one; each person is under the power of this law.
What does this law have to do with positive affirmations? How does this bring about the mishaps in your life? Imagine that your mind is a magnet that attracts every small thing that it thinks of. Visualize yourself thinking about your troubles all throughout the day. What does your mind do? It attracts negative things so they happen to you. When you think about problems more than positive affirmations, more problems come to you. When you put yourself on the negative side of things, they crop up more and more. That is how the law of attraction works.
Now, how are you going to make the law work in your favor? The answer lies in positive thinking. The solution is in prioritizing favorable thoughts more than negative ones. Envision yourself having paid your home mortgage or having been promoted at work. See yourself successful and feel like success is already in your hands. Repeat these thoughts over and over until you vibrate them to the universe. Soon, the universe is going to give you what you attract. Soon, all your positive affirmations will be transformed into reality. That is exactly how you can let the law work in your favor.
The power of positive thinking has been proven for years. Many successful entrepreneurs and journalists have made their money using only these positive thoughts. The law does not work like magic; it is a law that works enigmatically
If you want a rational explanation of these things, here it is:
When you focus yourself on positive affirmations, you do not only attract them to come to you; you also begin to act to get these things done. When you put your concentration on these things, they become part of you and you become them. This is the ultimate reason why you should think of things as though you already have them, so that they become part of you and you achieve them.
The same thing works for negative thoughts, but since these are detrimental for you, they should be thrown out of the window. If you let positive thoughts govern your life, there nothing that you cannot have.

Start the Day Fresh
These are tough times – emotionally and financially – and in order your start your day on a positive note, you must take active control of your thoughts.
A while back I wrote an article that explained how I use a method to compartmentalize my own personal situations. In other words, I know that there are problems and situations that I must deal with at some point in my life, but that time might not come for another day or another month. I’ve taught myself to put those issues in the back of my mind – in a mental “compartment,” if you will – which allows me to deal with the most immediate situations first. Those issues that I have to concern myself with next week won’t be interfering with my current daily routine until the time comes to deal with them appropriately.
It’s not that I’m ignoring the problem; it’s more about postponing action until action is required. It takes time to master the knack of doing this but once you can control your thoughts a little better, you’ll notice that life won’t seem like an insurmountable task. Taking little chunks and handling each thing in a priority order certainly will help you develop a more positive attitude about your life.
Even before you get out of bed, stretch your body and your mind and prepare for the day ahead. Quote to yourself some positive affirmations knowing that if you think it, it will likely happen. If you get up in the morning with a negative mindset, your whole day will reflect that attitude. I guarantee it! Instead, get up with a positive thought, before a random life event takes hold of your daily routine. Things happen and most of how these events affect you is entirely the result of how you mentally handle and accept each situation that comes into your life.
It’s really very easy – if you think you CAN’T you will never accomplish anything. You remember as a child when you were first read the story of the “little engine that could.” The little train was chugging up the hill just saying to itself over and over – “I think I can, I think I can.” Well, it didn’t make any progress until it started telling itself– “I KNOW I CAN!” The moment you know you can you will help you begin to see how your mental state of being will always assist you in attaining the next goal, your next life objective.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had plenty of rough spots in my life and there were times when I felt the only thing to do was to give up. But someone gave me this same advice and I decided to try it. Once I could rearrange my thoughts from mostly negative to mostly positive, amazing things started happening to me. Those issues that I once thought were “mountains” that I could never climb suddenly flattened out and I could now run rather than limp through my life. I also found that there were quite a few people out there who were willing to help me overcome some of my challenges. In short, my life started changing for the best and I’ve never looked back.
Unexpected things in life will occur, anther great and logical reason to get your mind set on a more positive course now. If you have a stable mental process, when you hit one of life’s snags, you’ll be more likely to handle it more productively. Kind of like saving up financially for the proverbial “rainy day.” By preparing, whether mentally or financially, you’re ready for anything that might throw some problems your way.
So from this day forward, begin each new day by first taking positive control of your thought process. Don’t dwell on the bad stuff; instead think about the good things in your life a little more than you have been. Be thankful for your family and friends, your health, your experiences, and your dreams and you will soon find that your dreams will soon become the reality you’ve always hoped for. It happens – it’s happened to me.

Be Happy! Why Worry?
Worry is a silent killer. It is like a slow poison. It is a chronic illness. In fact, it is an illness which is many fold dreadful than the physical illnesses. Worry not only affects our body but our mind too.
If you think seriously, you would find that it is really no use worrying about anything. It is really foolish to worry about past or future. Nobody can change the past. Whatever has happened has happened. Why worry? How can something that has yet not come to pass affect us? How are we so certain that the future is so bleak? Things may turn out well.
Why worry then? Worrying just tires us and diminishes our capacity of clear thinking and planning. It promotes negative thinking. Instead of worrying we should use positive affirmations and resolutions.
If worry could solve the problem, everybody would worry as much as possible. Problem solving requires clear thinking and planning. But worry makes us incapable of clear thinking and planning. Many things, if they are going to happen, will happen regardless of our worry. If it is going to rain, it will.
We worry for small things. The worst-case scenario may not even be bad enough to worry. You have made your boss angry. You worry that he may fire you. What of it? That is not the end of the world. You are still alive. Perhaps you would get a better job. You dread to go to the office next day. You think of sending in your resignation letter. Worrying you reach office. The boss calls you. He apologizes. It was his mistake!
Not only we should not worry about little things, but we should also not worry about seemingly big things. The things that seem today very big and important will seem trifle tomorrow. In your student life you must have worried for days about the wrong answer you gave, even though you knew the right answer, to an objective type of question carrying just half mark. How much you worried about a dress on a special occasion, meeting a boy or girl whom you fancied, or the change of residence of a friend’s family? Do these matter a bit today? Why worry about spilled milk, or a broken glass, or a missed bus?
Of course, no body worries for the sake of worrying. Worry just comes into mind and then never leaves. But many people never worry. It seems that worrying is a sort of bad habit. As all bad habits the habit of worrying is also difficult to get rid of. So, in the first instance, never make worrying a habit. Secondly, try to divert your mind. Think of positive things. Get busy with some physical activity. Keep yourself away from people who are habitually worrying type and who always see the negative side of a thing.
Instead of useless worrying, one should take positive action — BE HAPPY!

The Power of Positive Affirmations
Our self talk is an internal dialogue to creating our world. Allowing yourself to pay attention to your thoughts and start eliminating the one’s that create life experiences you choose not to have. Simply using affirmations and creating your world with every thought and word you speak. Saying affirmations are only part of the process. What you do the rest of the time is equally important.

It is almost impossible to belittle yourself or stay angry with yourself and others if you find the treasure in every trial. Negative thoughts are from criticism, fear, guilt and resentment. The words you speak will steal your joy. Every thought you have has energy attached to it that will strengthen or weaken you. These draining thoughts that weaken you are obstacles to creating the life you intended to live. You have a choice. Everyone has a choice to surround yourself with positive thoughts, music, people, scents, TV shows and movies. What ever is going on inside will come out into your environment. Any thought that places a barrier between what you would like to have and your ability to attract it into your life is resistance.
The more you choose thoughts that make you feel happy and refreshed, the closer you are to empowering your life. The way you choose to think right now is just that a choice. No person, place or thing has any control over your feelings BUT YOU.
Questions to ask yourself?

Reach for better thoughts. Affirmations are simply choosing to think certain thoughts that will create positive results. When you choose to think better thoughts your mind is clearer-more focused, your health is better-feel better, your attitude at home or work is better, your relationships are better and goes on and on from there. Abundance and Manifestation
I am sure you remember in 2008 and the early part of 2009 the doom and gloom merchants, largely in the media, that would have had us believe the global economy was irretrievably collapsing. The fear thus generated in people caused them to feel like powerless victims completely unable to control the direction of their life.
Isn’t it time we realise we have been controlled through media-generated fear and disaster for too long? It is now time to shift our thinking to the new paradigm of personal empowerment, switch off the 6.00pm TV news, start to reclaim our power and leave those doom and gloom merchants far behind.
My hypnotherapy training has taught me that the subconscious mind cannot discriminate between a vividly-imagined experience and a real one. So let’s start to create the New Story of the Life of our Dreams vividly in our minds and focus on this, rather than on our old story of hardship and struggle!
The Universal Law of Attraction draws to us whatever we focus on. It does not discriminate between perceived negative and positive things, but merely is a faithful servant bringing back to you an exact measure of what you focus on predominantly. You may wonder why you do your Affirmations religiously each day, yet nothing seems to change. It is necessary to look at how much of each day is spent in positivity and faith in your ability to manifest, as opposed to how much is subconscious negative self-talk, faulty beliefs and just automatically running old outmoded mind programs. For instance, no matter how many positive affirmations you make regarding being prosperous and a “money-magnet”, if you are subconsciously stuck in Poverty Consciousness, then guess what you get more of according to the Law of Attraction? You guessed it – more situations in your life to keep you stuck financially! This also holds true for relationships, health and all areas of your life. You get exactly what you predominantly focus on subconsciously. Time to change that subconscious programming?
Take some time now to think about what you want to achieve in your life this year, whether it be in relationships, career, health, finances or whatever. Be wild and free in your thinking, imagining yourself free of limitations. Write this Desire Statement down and speak it out positively with conviction every day. The Desire Statement must be written in the present tense, as if everything has already happened. Totally avoid negatives and statements of what you don’t want. Vividly tune into and imagine the fabulous feelings of joy, success and achievement at already having achieved all of those things you do want.
This will progressively bring you into Vibrational Alignment with all you seek, allowing those things to manifest effortlessly into your experience. A dense, heavy vibration keeps you stuck where you are, but raising your vibration through conscious intent, by creating more joy in your life and by reducing stress can soon get you to where you want to be. When you have worked through the layers of fear holding you back from what you want, then you are left with a deep inner knowing and the desired manifestation happens. The final key to manifestation is having the faith that it is there for you and letting go of the attachment to the outcome. A personal example to illustrate this is my being offered one of those time-share discount holiday deals over the phone a couple of years ago “in appreciation for participating in their survey”. Now we had just received 7 days free accommodation on the Gold Coast, Australia, I said jokingly to my daughter, “Now I just need to manifest the airfares!” As I had let go of the outcome completely, more because I had said it as a joke than anything else, the next day after business in Canberra, I won the $3000 jackpot in the lottery at the club we went to for dinner! The strange thing was I had this deep inner knowing that I would win it as soon as I bought the ticket – a completely unwavering faith. I had manifested not only the airfares for 3 to the Gold Coast, but also all the other expenses and spending money too within 24 hours. Wow!

How to Use “Belief” for Success: Part 2
Having belief is important for your success in life. In fact it is crucial to your happiness and success in every area of your life –not just material and financial. And, yes, you do need to think positive thoughts and believe you can achieve what you desire.
Your thoughts determine your emotions-good or bad. Your emotions determine your belief or disbelief. Your belief or disbelief determines your faith. Your faith determines your persistence. And ALL of these things determine your eventual success-or failure.
So, HOW do you learn to believe and change your negative, failure, mindset into a positive, powerful and successful one? You have to do it ONE thought at a time. And you have to keep doing it all day long, every day.

A book that says over and over, “you can do it!”, you can win!”, “don’t give up, you’re so close!”. A book that just showers you in positive thoughts of support and success.
Read these books over and over for best results and when you feel that happiness, enthusiasm and excitement about your goals and desires…THEN is the perfect time to say your affirmations. When you do this, I think you will find that gradually you WILL believe and your mind will be changed from completely negative to completely positive. And …when you really, truly believe then you really CAN accomplish anything you desire.

Positive affirmations may not be something you have given much thought to in the past. But, whenever you think, you are affirming! Whenever you listening to your inner self talk you are affirming!
