Do Not Give Up
Successful people never give up. They have a never-say-die attitude. They conquer in life because they do not succumb even when situations turn sour. Successful men and women stay put even when there is no light at the end of a dark tunnel.
You may have felt like give up hope in the face of challenging issues and circumstances. You are not alone. Many people like you have felt the same as problems become sticky. Many have chosen to hang on. Oprah Winfrey, Thomas Edison, and many others chose to keep hope alive.
The cost of giving up is higher than the cost of hanging on. You do not want to let your goals disappear into oblivion. You do not want your dreams to remain just statements of intent. You do not want your destiny to lead you into unknown territory. Giving up is never your option.
In moments when you feel like giving up, remind yourself of the theme of your life. Remind yourself of the purpose and vision of your life. Think of the satisfaction and happiness you will derive from finishing the race. Yes, this is not the moment to give up. Your success is coming. Rome was not built in a day. There is more in store for those who endure to the last minute. You can remind yourself to endure by surrounding yourself with various quotes and sayings.
Rather than giving up, summon a new sense of responsibility, courage, and passion in your life. Listen to the voices that will live you fired up and inspired. Believe in your dreams and speak to the champion inside you. The champion in you cannot afford to succumb to the pressures of life.

God's Got A Blessing With Your Name On It
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28
If I didn’t know better I’d declare I created this Youtube video! Looks like my car, sounds like my radio and definitely resembles my morning commute. God’s Got A Blessing With your Name On It was blaring out my windows. Well know what? This morning at approximately 7:45 that was my song! Just like in the video that was me and possibly you listening to our favorite morning talk radio stations headed to work. It’s routine, switching back and forth between my favorite radio stations and presto 88.1 was playing God’s Got A Blessing!
Well I safely arrived and it’s mid-day, I am chuckling because I have a moment between work tasks and just decided to visit Youtube-so I believe. This just smacks of a divine set-up! I trust you’ll agree that this is surely more providential than coincidence. Yes, friends my curiosity peaked when I had the option of selecting between two videos of Norman Hutchins and I decided to select the video with the driver traveling down the highway.
Notice the “red hood” ? Well the front end resembles my car. It surely looks like me navigating my way down the I-64 East. I recognized that many of us travel just this way to get to our daily JOB’s. That’s what we use to call it going to our JOB’s, cruising down highways across hamlets, cities, and the like. Some of us even have to travel by foot, wait at the dock to board the Ferry or jump on public transportation- our journey’s would be incomplete without our electronic gadgets. Listening to our radios, ipods, and surfing the internet destination bound! We’re headed some place, determined to arrive. As I drove this morning and now for a few moments I am reflecting on what I witnessed yesterday evening, while millions of households already had learned what I feel compelled to rethink.
My mind raced back to Oprah Winfrey’s website. After work I had an opportunity to read and watch several videos about Tyler Perry’s very emotional accounts of the disturbing childhood abuse he endured at the hands of some unscrupulous, despicable adults. You just never know what shapes and colors our lives. The abuse was horrific, sad, and tragic . But what stood out for me was that as difficult as it is to share humiliating incidents of any kind of abuse (sexual, emotional, physical etc.) I would wager that it’s probably more difficult to operate effectively with that stigma draped over ones life. But, thank God despite that the personal anguish, it didn’t smolder Tyler’s spirit. It’s apparent that his creativity and empathy for others has spurred him on to create relevant; meaningful works. His works are healing and audacious enough to deal with the tough stuff, the nitty-gritty issues of life. He’s a miraculous over comer, clearly on a destination! Tyler is a survivor and I pray he feels victorious, free, validated, accomplished and honored for lifting the bewildering, deadening shroud of silence. What the devil meant for evil, God obviously has other plans. Romans 8 confirms this:
More Than Conquerors
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who
love him,[j] who[k] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. 31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[l] 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Tyler’s creative work continually improves lives and gives voice to many that society deem unworthy. His stellar work in the arts, his philanthropic endeavors are to be lauded. But what many will chatter about is , “Did you hear Tyler?” Well as one conquerer to another, we can respond confidently with , ” Yes, I certainly did and do I ever appreciate him all the more!” Like Norman Hutchins sings, God’s Got a Blessing With Our Name On It! This stanza of Amazing Grace by John Newton rings true….
T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my
shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh
and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess
within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
When we’ve been here ten
thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We’ve no less days to sing
God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun……
Thank you Tyler for the exhibiting the grace to dare share what we ought not ignore. We appreciate your desire to move foward , navigate your way and live to see brighter tomorrows! You’re on your way and it’s evident that God’s got a blessing for His very own!
sumitted to you with a renewed spirit!

Awakening The Movie–Featuring Luminary Patrick Combs
Personal development education is essentially what this 47 minute DVD challenges one to incorporate into our daily lives. The surprising revelation from this DVD is that Patrick Combs [the luminary, mentor, and best selling personal development education author] reveals that he himself is essentially one of the challenged, that has risen from a poverty up bringing to a success. He revealed that he lived in a trailer park as a child of a singled mother, who herself was a depressed individual.
Strangely his mother’s depression worked in a reverse manner with regard to Patrick becoming a positive person—eventually becoming a personal development mentor.
Awakening the movie left me with 3 key points that I would like to leave with you.
One, Awakening The Movie ask the observer, “why is there a discrepancy in the quality of life of an abused child that stays in that poverty stricken environment for an entire life, and a child that rises to an extraordinary life like Oprah Winfrey”. Winfrey herself was an abused child, yet rose to stardom.
Number two, Patrick Combs suggest that where we are in our lives today is a direct result of the choices that we made in the past, conscious or unconscious. And that we can change our path in life from a negative one to a positive one with the decision that we make today. The atmosphere can change right now with a new awakening of the mind.
The third point is that is there is a definite defining moment that one must actively exercise in order to turn a down trotting life into an extraordinary life.
Patrick Combs uses two examples in this regard. One, he talks of Neil Donald Walsch, an extraordinary author today, who found himself homeless living in Asland Oregon, selling aluminum cans in order to eat. Walcsh eventually worked his way out of his homeless situation to becoming a renown author of a series of books entitled, “Conversations with God.” The defining moment for Neil Walcsh was a talk with God.
Finally, Patrick Combs himself reveals that his defining moment was when his over bearing boss had very little respect for him. He would have Patrick to haul his desk top computer in and out of airports as Patrick would be traveling for the company. His boss refused to buy a laptop computer for Patrick, yet continued to up-date his laptop computer with newer models. This was Patrick’s defining moment. His awakening! Patrick combs went on to become the luminary that he is today.
In short, this 47 minute movie will awaken one’s conscious to develop personally and become all that God has planned for his or her life.
Enjoy,
Wendell

Money –‘Feel the fear and do it anyway’
Money has an arduous reputation for being the bad guy, held responsible on numerous occasions for the destruction of good men and seen as ‘the root of all evils’. While money is a fine catalyst to these things, it is not the reason for it. We take a look at some of the theories behind money and speculate on a few money fears.
Although it is very true that ‘money can’t buy happiness’, it is also true that money helps bring to life dreams and create wealth. Held in the hands of the right person, money can be used as a resource and foundation for great good. Think of Mother Teresa and Oprah Winfrey who have both achieved great wealth for the good of man kind. Mother Teresa raised millions of dollars to build 610 missionaries of charity in over 123 countries and Oprah has given ‘an estimated $303 million’ to charities and other socially beneficial causes (www.wikipedia.com).
So what makes us different from the average millionaire and what can you do to get your hands on some? While this article isn’t a quick fix to all your money problems, it does pose some interesting philosophies. Read on.
Where did money come from?
Around 9,000 BC, before money was created, people used to barter by exchanging one possession of value for another. Common items of trade were vegetables and animal stock.
What are its ancient/spiritual/original beliefs?
Spiritual believers see money as a form of energy and love. They believe that the universe gives in abundance and conspires to meet that which you desire and focus on. Focus on having ‘no money’ and you will be granted ‘no money’. Focus on having money and you will be granted with having money. “Money is just another physical form of the spirit, another way that the universe gives to you. “The energy of spirit takes on many forms in the physical world: like love, time, space, and nature to name a few” – money is also one of these (www.healpastlives.com).
What stops people from getting their share?
A new age approach to the topic of money reveals that most people are poor or broke because they fear being rich. You may not think this is true but if you sit down and think about it I’m sure you can probably relate to one or two of the following beliefs:
• Most rich people become rich at the expense of the poor
• Too much money makes me selfish
• Most rich people become corrupted by their riches
• I have to work really hard for my money
• I don’t deserve to be rich
• Having lots of money is bad
• Poor people are more honest than rich people
• Poor people are more spiritual
Whether you have noticed it or not, there is a lot of social taboo around having money. Most of societies ‘average’ earners are only ‘average’ earners due to their strong and underlying negative outlook on being a ‘rich’ person. It may not have been something you were aware of until now, and if you feel that you are one of those people (which if you are not already rich then you probably are) who believes that money is ultimately an evil, fear not. You can change the way you feel about money simply by the way you think.
How do I ‘attract’ money into my life?
There have been numerous studies carried out into interrogating the minds and behaviours of ‘rich’ people. What makes them more prone to success? How are they different from everyone else? Do they posses certain characteristics and personality traits? All of these questions and many more have been on the list of ‘success’ seekers and researchers. Interesting enough the results have shown many times over that the difference is in the way that they think.
Successful people focus on the positive and have tapped into a healthy and empowering thought pattern that enables them to attract and connect with wealth. Not only do they focus on the positive and having money but they full heartedly believe that they deserve it and have the confidence that they can achieve it.
The trick is inevitably in the theory behind the ‘law of attraction’. Rich people have learnt to automatically trigger repetitive thought patterns that encourage wealth. They are constantly thinking thoughts such as:
• Money is good
• I deserve to be rich
• I will do great and good things with my money
• Spiritual people are rich people too
• I can achieve anything that I put my mind to
• Having money will enable me to live out my dreams
• Having money is healthy
• There is plenty of money for everyone and I am going to have my share
As wise men say:
It’s the love of money that is the root of all evil. Money does not destroy on its own accord; it destroys via the hands of greedy men. As William Durant, founder of General Motors and Chevrolet will tell you, “Money is only loaned to a man. He comes into the world with nothing and he leaves with nothing”.
