The Power Of Your Story

Many people go through life creating by default; they just aren’t clear about what they really want. They become hung up on how much is going wrong in their life or in the world. And once that happens, they start to tell a story—they construct a narrative around the grim details that have captured their attention. “People ask too much of me.” “My house is a mess.” “I don’t have enough money to do what I really want.” We’ve all heard these tales, and what’s worse, we’ve all told them. It’s really easy to let those thoughts weigh us down and sap our creative energy.

So how do you say “Cut!”? How do you stop telling the bad stories and start telling the good ones? To begin, you need to understand that events are not part of a narrative, that they simply happen. When you see that all events are neutral, you then recognize that the stories you see behind them are your stories—good, bad or indifferent. If you can reserve judgment, you give yourself a chance to let events unfold.

Once you do that, you can move on to create another story, one that feels better, one with a chance at a happy ending. That choice may seem to be a stretch sometimes, but like any exercise, it will become easier with time. Soon it becomes second nature to reflect on what you’re perceiving, see the tragedy you’ve started composing in your head, and then move on to craft that better-feeling story. The peace that comes with that choice is its own reward. But it gets even better: in time, your new story will have a ripple effect, creating positive results that will astound you.

Research shows that when you consistently engage in the practice of identifying your stressful, negative thoughts and find alternative and better-feeling thoughts you are creating new neural pathways that will lead to long-lasting benefits – decreased anxiety and depression and increased ability to find creative solutions, and ultimately satisfaction and happiness.

Of course, it’s not realistic to think that you can go immediately from a bad-feeling thought to a happy place. More than anything, you’re looking for a feeling of relief from where you were a moment ago. Feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or depressed by what is happening in your life right now is only a problem if you can’t think of what it is you want to be different. Still not sure? Let me walk you through an example from my own life.

Quite recently, an administrator in my hospital announced that at best, everyone in the hospital would receive a minimal raise this year. Even if we did everything right, all we could hope for was 2.5%, when exemplary employees would normally get 5%. After I heard this, I had some pretty stressful thoughts – among them were fears that the hospital was going to lay off employees—and that I could be among them! I also told myself that I had been counting on a raise, and everyone needs at least a 3% increase in salary every year to just meet the rising cost of living.

After a few minutes of those thoughts (a few very painful minutes), I realized that I was telling a story. I then challenged myself to find an alternative, better-feeling story; here is what I came up with:

“I don’t know that the hospital will need to lay off employees. In fact, I know they recently hired new employees. They are probably cutting back on raises so they don’t have to lay off people, or cut salaries (and I know many businesses are doing both).”

“I am grateful for my job and will keep appreciating all of the good things that I enjoy about it. If I need more money this year, I can always find other ways to make it or I will find ways to spend less. I trust that I always have whatever I need.”

I felt so much better after this internal self-talk. It made me feel powerful and abundant at the same time. And the facts hadn’t changed: all I had done was realize that the facts were neutral, that they included a few things I had chosen not to see, that I was telling a story I didn’t like—and that I had the power to tell a different one.

Spiritual Law Of Attraction

Law of Attraction can be considered to be New Age principle. However, the Bible too does teach about the Law of Attraction. Most people seems not seeing the truth that is revealed in the Bible. In the Bible itself, we can find the key to an abundance life we all deserve to have.

Refer the Bible for Matthew 21:22. Our reference here will be based on the King James Version. The Matthew 21:22 reveals the Law of Attraction; which later used by the Law of Attraction film called The Secret. The Secret took this part of the Bible and called it the Creative Process.

In references to the Bible, Matthew 21:22 says “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” That proves the Law of Attraction. The evidence about the Law of Attraction exist is in the Bible itself. It clearly reveals that if we want something, we must ask and believe. If we complete the first two Creative Process, then we will receive what we asked for.

Buddha’s Law of Attraction

There are other religions that taught about the Law of Attraction, especially Buddhism. Buddha have said we are the outcome of our habitual thinking habit. The thought we entertain in our mind have developed our characteristic. If we think negative thoughts, then negative energy will follow us and attract more negative energy. If we think positive thoughts, then positive energy will follow us and attract more positive energy.

Eventually, it is always our choice to choose which kind of thinking habit we should have. Buddha too shared his wisdom by saying the mind is everything. Those teachings are the same with the Law of Attraction that everything starts from and out of the mind.

The 7 Deadly Emotions

This morning as I was preparing myself for the day by drinking my lovely cup of coffee, going through my Simplology praxis and completing my Six Minutes to Success as is part on my daily routine, my focus for the day became clear.  Since I am in the progress of creating a personal development series, my next video planned was on this very topic.  To me, this is a confirmation of the right plan of action for the day!  Now that may not seem important to some, but I find it exhilerating to know my intuitions are spot on and it encourages me to continue using this under used part of my being.  This is where I “hear” from the Spirit of God and know the best plan to “walk” in the Spirit.

Here is the list of the 7 deadly emotions to avoid:  Fear, Jealousy, Hatred, Revenge, Greed, Superstition, Anger

It is important to note that I will NOT dwell on these negative emotions.  I’m only pointing them out so we can identify them as they pop up in our lives so we can quickly change our perspective to control them and NOT allow them to control us.  We are to be the master of our emotions and not the other way around!

Where do these emotions come from?  Emotions come from our thoughts.  It is so important to control out thoughts!  That is one of the reasons I’m writing these articles and making the videos.  Change your thinking, change your emotions.  If you are not happy, it’s because you’ve been thinking the wrong things, dwelling on negative thoughts which create negative and deadly emotions.  These emotions take away “life”.   We were created to have life and that more abundantly.  All I’m offering is a practical way to be happy; something everyone wants!  This is my own test for my thoughts, to see if they are worthy of my attention:

Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right.  Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others.  Think about all praiseworthy things, things to be thankful for.

This is the basis for the Law of Attraction.  Discipline your thought life to attract ONLY GOOD things into your life.  Not only will you feel happy, but you will get what good things you desire.

The opposite is also true.  Think of bad, ugly, destructive and negative thoughts, you get bad, ugly, destructive and negative emotions such as:  Fear, Jealousy, Hatred, Revenge, Greed, Superstition, Anger in which every one of these leads to “death” AND DIS-EASE.   Here is a brief list of negative emotions that if taken to their conclusion produce undesirable consequences:

Fear is faith pointed in the opposite direction – death

Jealousy is hostility toward a rival or one believed to enjoy an advantage – death

Hatred is prejudiced hostility or animosity – death

Revenge – to inflict injury in return for a perceived injustice – death

Greed is defined as an inordinate or reprehensible acquisitiveness (all forms of stealing)

Superstition is a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown; an irrational abject attitude of mind toward the supernatural, nature, or God resulting from fears

Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure and usually of antagonism -death

If happiness and joy are your desired states of being, these emotions must be checked and eliminated at all cost!  These emotions can and must be changed and I will tell you in a future writing how to change your perspective on these to change them from a negative to the corresponding positive emotion.  It all happens in your mind.

Remember, the Law of Attraction works both ways!  Guard your mind AND your heart!

Abundance Is Your Birthright! Use The Law Of Attraction To Manifest More Abundance In Your Life!

You live in an abundant Universe and there is more than enough for all of you. Most people think of abundance in terms of material wealth only. They measure abundance in terms of the amount of money they have in their bank accounts, the cars they own, the properties they have and other material items they possess. Material wealth is only one component of abundance. In fact, abundance also includes love, joy, happiness, good health, peace, fulfilling relationships, etc.

When you look around you, you can see that we are surrounded by abundance and love, joy, happiness, money, peace and health is readily available to everyone willing to accept them. Many people, however, think in terms of scarcity. We think that there is not enough and as a result, we find it very difficult to manifest abundance and prosperity our lives. If there is any lack in your life it is not because there is not enough, but rather, because you are blocking abundance from coming to you because of your negative thoughts and limiting beliefs about prosperity. These negative vibrations that you send out in the Universe stop the flow of abundance from coming to you.

You can use the Law of Attraction to attract more abundance into your life. The Law of Attraction is one of the most powerful laws in the Universe and it states that you attract into your life whatever you give your energy, attention and focus to, whether wanted or unwanted. If, for example, you want to attract more money into your life, you have to first of all become very clear about what you desire. Once you are clear about what you want, you must raise your vibration and become a vibrational match to what you want to attract.

You must then allow the amount of money you want attract to come into your life and eliminate all the doubts and fears that you have about abundance and prosperity. If, for example, you want to attract a certain amount of money, say five hundred thousand dollars, you must keep your mind focused on the thought that you already have this sum and how you would feel when you use that money to buy the things you want. When you have doubts, you must immediately shift your thoughts to the result that you want and be grateful for it and feel happy.

One of the most important factors to living in abundance is to be in a constant state of gratitude. Staying in a state of gratitude will give you more things to be grateful for. An attitude of gratitude is an attractor for more of what you are grateful for. If you want more financial abundance in your life, you must be grateful for what you already have in your life. For example, you must be grateful for the money you have in your bank account, for the car you possess, for the house you own, etc. Giving thanks for everything that you have is a step forward toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation. In fact, the feelings of gratitude and happiness will raise your vibration and make you attract more situations and circumstances to be even more grateful and happy.

Sarah Ban Breathnach was right when she said “You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.”

Your life is meant to be abundant and you all deserve the very best in all areas of life. You are all children of the Universe and you all have an equal right to the infinite abundance that is available to all. Abundance is your birthright! You just have to claim it now and live the awesome life you desire and deserve!

Walking The Talk – A Key Element To Mastering The Law Of Attraction

The hit movie “The Secret” was a movie that awakened many to the possibilities of a much better life.  The power behind the movie is truly amazing and the message – mindblowing.  “The Secret” presented an ever existing message and translated it in a way that modern day could understand.

Rhonda Byrne clearly had a vision of being able to present the information to others in a way that would interest them and catch their attention.  She was bang on.  She and the teachers in the movie knew there was no secret, but society tends to believe there is a secret to happiness.  I happen to believe that is how the name originated. 

The movie and book is meant to educate people to retrain their thought patterns and to improve their mindset.  Many critics think the message of the movie was if we just think happy thoughts that are life will improve.  That is absolutely silly.  

Everything in our lives was originated through our thoughts and beliefs.  Thoughts and beliefs are just the starting point.  Thoughts are strongly related to our emotions.  Our emotions are strongly related to our vibration that we emit into the universe.  The universe will use this energy that you are emitting outwards and will attract related energies and vibrations to you, example opportunities and similar people.  

Having said this, if you are emitting a negative vibration due to the negative thoughts you began with, you will attract negative people and negative events.  When this happens, good things will not be able to attract to you. 

Here is where some can get confused.   Your thoughts need to match your feelings.  If you are thinking happy thoughts but are not feeling the happiness associated with these thought, then the universe will still attract your vibration, not your thoughts.  The universe cannot read your mind, it can only work as a magnet with your vibration that you are emitting outwards. 

Here is where I will somewhat contradict myself.  It is still important to think happy thoughts even though we are not feeling it.  That is actually apart of retraining your thinking and your belief system.  If you are in a negative mood, replace these negative thoughts with positive thoughts and it will have a physiological effect on you.  It is also important not to rely soley on this to enhance your mood, but to use this as a tool to train your mind. 

Thinking happy thoughts is just the starting point of the process to building a better life.  The key element is to live it.  Building a positive vibration is one thing, but maintaining this vibration is where the gold is at.  Being consistant with this vibration will give you the power to begin attracting your desires on a regular basis and you will see results on a much larger scale the longer your vibration remains constant. 

How to get started walking your talk: 

Believe that this process will work.  Your belief system directly affects your thoughts.
Begin replacing your negative thoughts with positive thoughts even if you don’t believe it at first.  This is a great way to retrain your thought patterns.
Concentrate and slow down your breathing.  This will allow your mind to relax and allow for positive messages to enter your mind.
Begin healing processes.  If we allow ourselves to heal from past events, that will eliminate many blockages you may be encountering with raising your vibrational level.
Affirm to yourself every single day that you are presently accomplishing your goal, even when obstacles present themselves. 
Meditate.  Quieting the mind and nurturing the soul will help relax the body and the mind that will allow for clearer thinking and better focus. 
Watch your mouth.  Careful what kind of words you are speaking.  If you are speaking in negatives, then negativity can become a reality.  Also watch ‘body’ language.  If you say things like ’so and so’ makes you sick, you may become sick.  Same as someone being a pain in your neck, your neck can become painful.  Your mind and body do not know slang.
Who are you hanging around?  Are you hanging around depressing people or energy vampires.  You become who you hang around because these people will not stimulate your strengths, only your weaknesses. 
The Attitude of Gratitude.  Genuinely be grateful for what you already have and for the journey that you are on.  The feeling of being grateful will raise your vibration significantly. 

If you are going to become an advocate of positive thinking and empowered living, then walk your talk.  Remain authentic and true and you will see incredible results all around you.

Using The Law Of Attraction To Manifest Abundance

Applying the law of attraction in our everyday lives has become a great subject that has become very appealing to almost everyone of us because we all want to live a life we dream of. Positive thinking. Most often, our negative thoughts are hindering us from applying the law of attraction in our daily lives. We often lack confidence on ourselves because we have a lot of insecurities. We often give up even before trying. If you want to attract the life you want, be positive. Always think that there is something that can be done and that includes finding ways to reach your goals. One technique that you can use in this part is the positive affirmation.

Be thankful. Being grateful is also another key in applying the law of attraction in your life. The more thankful you are with whatever it is that you have now, the more you attract more good things. Whatever it is that you are going through, you can always find something that you can be thankful for. Share what you have to others. It is also in giving that you can learn to appreciate your life. It is also in giving that you receive more. Think about what you have and not dwell on what you lack.

Focus on your desires and your goals. Attracting the life you want needs focus and not only setting your mind on it but also focusing your energy, your resources and your time on it. You can practice meditation too to help you to focus your mind at the same time get rid of the stress of daily life that can also help you attain what you want.

Take action and seize opportunities. Of course, you have to learn how to receive the life that you want to attract. You have to seize every opportunity and take action. If you want to reach your dreams and desires, work on it.
