Your Motivation to Lose Weight – The Easiest Way

Signing up for a weight loss program, going on dieting, and doing exercises would definitely have you losing some weight, but 95% of the people that do this would not lose any sort of weight because of the lack of consistency and motivation. Motivation is something that drives us to perform a task that we ought to perform, motivational capacities ranges from person but one can improve his/her motivational capacity.

It is really not surprising that most people tend to jump from one weight loss program to another, complaining of not losing weight but they forget the very critical point of being consistent in your efforts, which hinges completely on your daily motivation.

Your first motivation to losing weight should be your self. Yes, yourself.

Research shows that most people give up on weight loss activities, due to they simply do not think they can achieve the goal of losing weight and getting the body they deserve, anyone can have a nice looking body, it is just that, the time it takes to get there varies from person to person, you would agree with me that the fat composition in person A’s body is different in, at least, the smallest amount from person’s B’s body, accept and encourage yourself that you can do this.

Following self motivation, comes mental angle. Your mental angle should always point towards positivity, try to detest any negative thoughts and also try to stay away from people with negative thinking, those that tell you that you simply won’t achieve your goal, stay away from motivational killers like that, positivity would help you critically on this journey to lose weight.

One more thing i need to make clear is the need to train your spirit. In other words, you have to have a daily routine, that under no circumstance must you violate this, even if the body is not willing, the spirit must, and you simply have to complete the daily task that day. It all starts with the saying,” I’ll do it tomorrow”, once you start postponing your exercise days, you will end up quitting, this is a habit I have noticed in the majority, do not ever do this if you really want to remain motivated.

In conclusion, motivation is something that starts up in the brain, and controls the body, the spirit of motivation towards losing weight must be in the head first and then, you must now set some daily tasks and stick to it,and most importantly, never miss one day, because it all starts with one, and then two and so on. This is the key to motivation towards losing weight.

Take Charge of Your Motivation: Be Your Own Best Coach

Nothing happens without motivation. Motivation is the power we use to set things in motion, including ourselves. Without motivation nothing changes, in fact nothing moves. Motivation is the positive energy we use to spur us to action, and this positive energy consists of our positive feelings. Feelings like optimism, joy, enthusiasm, confidence, passion, hope, faith, belief. Without this constant flow of positive energy our action falters and stops, is inconsistent or weak and uninspired, repetitive and dull and consists only of our response to necessity, things that have to begrudgingly be done: go to work, pay the bills, meet obligations, etc. Without internal motivation the spark in us and in our lives dies, yet we all know how hard it gets sometimes to keep that spark alive.

Many times, we rely on external motivation to get going, especially when the going gets tough. We rely on surrogate coaches like family and friends to give us a boost, to support, encourage us and give us praise for our efforts. Many people lose their emotional, internal motivation for long periods of time, and often resort to taking motivational courses, or seminars, reading motivational books etc. They get enthusiastic for a while, and then fall back to their inertia, flat lifeless feeling, discouragement, reduced energy levels, etc. The reason for that is that the motivational messages received are not fully internalized, they remain an external stimulus which when removed simply stops to have an effect.

Lasting motivation can only come from within. Lasting motivation comes from our feelings, and a lot of our feelings are a result of our self-talk. When do we most need the help of a friend or a coach? When our self-talk is negative, when we feel powerless, helpless, hopeless or stuck. When we say no to ourselves, no to our dreams, no to life. But we cannot always rely on external motivators like friends or coaches to provide us with support, help and pep-talks. We need to learn to coax and coach and pep-talk ourselves; we need to learn to be our own best friends and coaches.

So what does a good coach do? First of all he listens with an open mind and tries to understand our current situation and feelings. A coach asks us clarifying questions about what it is that is bothering us, about where we are and where we want to go. A coach then quickly helps us focus on solutions, ideas, plans. A coach supports and provides us with the emotional fuel to implement our ideas. A coach applauds and congratulates us on the slightest sign of success and progress. A coach asks empowering questions to help us get around a challenging situation, obstacle,or quickly correct a mistake.

A coach has patience and composure and knows that all things take time to evolve. A coach maintains a positive attitude at all times and keeps us focused in a positive direction. He tells us things like “this is a brilliant idea”, “you can do it”, “you’re making a lot of progress”, “look at what you’ve already done”, “keep working on it”, “you’re doing great”, “well done”. He tells us most importantly “make a start”, “take the first step”, “just do it”! He’s there for us always with a positive attitude, always with the right words that will trigger our positive emotions once again. He knows how to turn around our negative feelings and negative self-talk by superseding them with his enthusiasm and constant pep-talk.

So let’s emulate this ideal coach, take responsibility for our motivation and become our own best coach.Let’s learn to give ourselves the necessary nudge to push us out of our place of discontent, boredom, fear, hesitation, inertia, avoidance, procrastination, self-doubt.

Let’s say yes to our dreams and aspirations and then continue to be our own best coach by silencing our negative self-talk, and replacing it with positive encouraging pep-talks to ourselves.

Let’s say yes to ourselves and yes to life. Let’s just do it!

Self Motivation Starts With Developing a Positive Attitude. Tips for Thinking More Positively

Do you have goals, dreams, and aspirations? Sure, most of us do. Some individuals have much clearer goals than others, but essentially everyone wants to achieve more in their lives. But many people do not take the necessary action that is required to achieve big goals and big dreams. Big achievement takes big action, and action is the one thing that holds back a great deal of people. But there are those individuals who know what they want and they go for it. They do not stop dead in their tracks when it is time to take action. They do not stop in spite of fear, doubt, and risk. They just go for it because they know that it is an essential part of getting to where the want to go. What is the difference between the individuals who take action and those who don’t? Successful people have more motivation.

Motivation is the driving force that propels individuals to the pinnacle. The more motivation you can muster, the faster and more effectively you will reach your goals. Without enough motivation you will mot likely make any big strides toward the life that you truly desire. Self motivation is a trait that can be seen in all successful individuals, and anyone who want sot do more with their life needs to begin learning how to add more motivation. One simple way to dramatically increase your motivation is to really clarify your goals. Clarity is power, and it is those with the clearest goals that actually reach them.

As we already mentioned, just about everyone wants more in their live. More money, more happiness, more success, more friends, or whatever else. But just wanting “more money” is not a real goal, and it will not give you the motivation that you need to make a drastic improvement in your life. Your goals need to be clear and concise. You must know exactly what you want in every detail. When you do, you will feel excited and enthusiastic about your vision, and you will be motivated to do whatever it takes to achieve it. Vague goals are useless, so take the time to really decide, in as much detail and clarity as you can, exactly what you want to strive to achieve. This is a huge step, but for some it make still not be enough.

Have you ever heard a voice in your head that told you that you could not do something? We run dialogues in our head, but some individuals talk to themselves in a positive, supportive way while others talk to themselves in a negative and unsupportive way. Positive thinking is training yourself to think positively about your goals and your ability to achieve them, and when your self talk is uplifting and motivating. When you begin thinking more positively you will find your self motivation begin to skyrocket. You will set larger goals for yourself, you will take action, and you will remain dedicated to your goals because you will know that you can and will achieve it. So if your motivation is lacking, clear up your goals and begin telling yourself that you can and will make them your reality.
