How do you start your day?
I was watching a BraveHeart View episode where they were discussing daily rituals. The question is, what do you do on a daily basis to bring yourself a sense of peace and get your day going?
For most of us we wake up in the morning and as we come to awareness we start thinking about what we don’t have, don’t want and can’t get. If we don’t ground ourselves in some rituals we become very stressed out as we go through our day. And we find ourselves reacting to every situation instead of responding.
Ellie Drake, the founder of BraveHeart Women, said if you don’t consciously choose things that make you feel good you’ll unconsciously create feelings that aren’t good like anxiety, frustration, and sadness. So choose consciously.
I suggest starting with gratitude. Write down 10 things you’re grateful for in your life. Recognize that you’re important and you deserve to have a great day. Give yourself some “me time”.
Take out a picture that brings back pleasant memories for you and go there in your mind. Yes, experience the feelings of joy, pride, freedom that this picture brings. Project those feelings into your day.
Think of three things that say “I love myself” and do them.
One of the best ways to wake up with a sense of peace is going to bed with a sense of peace. So as you wind down your day, take time to express gratitude for things that went well during your day. Visualize yourself having a good night’s rest and waking up refreshed and rejuvenated. Prayer, meditation or some form of relaxation helps.

The Power of Positive Affirmations
Our self talk is an internal dialogue to creating our world. Allowing yourself to pay attention to your thoughts and start eliminating the one’s that create life experiences you choose not to have. Simply using affirmations and creating your world with every thought and word you speak. Saying affirmations are only part of the process. What you do the rest of the time is equally important.
Positive minds produce positive lives! What a statement. Positive minds always manifest positive results in your personal and professional lives. Every complaint you have is an affirmation telling your life YOU WILL NOT or CAN NOT achieve, have or become. Our point of power is in the present moment. The more you think, see and talk about what you don’t want, you manifest that thought like a seed being planted and the more you talk about it, think about it, talk about it, think about it-becomes your life. The continue negative self talk grows to more not wanting. Affirming and visualizing FEEL it, SEE it, TASTE it, TOUCH it and HEAR it ~ you will achieve what you are working towards.
Guide to Positive Affirmations:
~ Always start with I am or I have: I believe, I always, There is
~ Stay in the present tense
~ Think positively
~ Keep sentences short: 2-3 max
~ Be specific
~ Use (ing) at the end: happening, fulfilling, feeling, smiling
~ Feeling words: joy, peace, happy, exciting
~ Goals in your life: reaffirm
~ Stay in the attitude of allowing: for change, for excitement, for new journeys
~ Stay in the attitude of acceptance: of what is to become
It is almost impossible to belittle yourself or stay angry with yourself and others if you find the treasure in every trial. Negative thoughts are from criticism, fear, guilt and resentment. The words you speak will steal your joy. Every thought you have has energy attached to it that will strengthen or weaken you. These draining thoughts that weaken you are obstacles to creating the life you intended to live. You have a choice. Everyone has a choice to surround yourself with positive thoughts, music, people, scents, TV shows and movies. What ever is going on inside will come out into your environment. Any thought that places a barrier between what you would like to have and your ability to attract it into your life is resistance.
The more you choose thoughts that make you feel happy and refreshed, the closer you are to empowering your life. The way you choose to think right now is just that a choice. No person, place or thing has any control over your feelings BUT YOU.
Questions to ask yourself?
~ How do you feel right now? Good? Bad?
~ What are your current emotions?
~ Would you like to feel better?
Reach for better thoughts. Affirmations are simply choosing to think certain thoughts that will create positive results. When you choose to think better thoughts your mind is clearer-more focused, your health is better-feel better, your attitude at home or work is better, your relationships are better and goes on and on from there. The end result ~ ALL BETTER!
Affirm:
Health
I allow my body to create positive change and return to its natural vibrant health
Love
I am worthy of Love, I have many wonderful qualities to offer the right person
Money
I prosper where ever I turn, I have unlimited income in expected and unexpected ways
Forgiveness
The past is over I am ready to be healed, I am releasing all hurt-I forgive and love
Overwhelmed
I am capable and in control, Gods love strengthens me everyday so I can be my best
Self-esteem
I am beautiful in every way, I have incredible inner resources, I am unique and fabulous, I am confident and believe in my abilities
Our fears hold us back from doing. Moving forward from negative to positive of courage and bravery we can open new doors and empower ourselves. Our personal power will move mountains and solves our problems. When you feel good, good things are attracted to you. Your consistency of performance automatically creates the life you intended to live. By making better choices everyday develops better habits, builds a better person and in return attracts bigger and better opportunities and allows you to contribute more and brings you bigger and better rewards.

Are you living in fear based on your past?
I was listening to Gary Quinn, Abundance Coach to the Stars, as he discussed this topic. And he said most of us are living our lives based on our past. What happened in our last relationship, our last job, our last experience with, fill in the blank?
Does that resonate with you? I got goose bumps when I heard it because it made perfect sense to me. Been there and done that.
Anyway Gary Quinn suggests that if you keep holding on to the fear you’ll create exactly the reality that you don’t want. He recommends bringing yourself into the present moment. And what I got from that was the importance of being present in the right now.
I read Eckhart Tolle‘s “The Power of Now” and it’s helped me become more mindful of the times that I’m not present. Have you ever done an activity and you were so far away in your mind you forgot you had done it? Ever driven and been so preoccupied you went right past where you were supposed to go? That demonstrates you’re someplace else. Come to the present moment. Breathe.
Gary Quinn talks about tapping into the reality of a different future. That you let go of the past and forgive yourself. I’d like to add: forgive those who you feel may have wronged you.
He suggests that you create a statement that makes you feel great. I recommend using these present tense statements to develop a blueprint for what you want.
To do this look at your life and get clear on what you want. Plan for what you want instead of what you don’t want.
Experience the feeling of what you want and live in that feeling all the time.

Law of Attraction – How to Use Meditation to Get What You Want More Easily
We have been talking about how the law of attraction works to bring you more and more of those things that you are giving your attention to. For many people, that means they get more and more things and experiences they do not want. But this can be changed. The question is, how?
Many people who try using the law of attraction start by doing affirmations. I am wealthy. I am abundant. I have the perfect body shape. That kind of thing. These affirmations can be very helpful, and effective, if used properly. The problem is that, for many people, they could go on saying them for a hundred years, and nothing would change. Why is this? Because deep down, they do not really believe in what they are saying. It is as though they have two “voices” speaking at the same time. One is doing the affirmation and the other is saying, No I’m not, No I haven’t.
That other “voice” is showing what the person is really thinking and feeling, and this is the part of you that is doing the attracting. There are many different names for this aspect of oneself. Some people call it the subconscious. Whatever you call it, it is the sum total of all your stored-up thoughts and life experiences to date, going right back to your childhood. The way to change the things you are attracting is to change the “settings” on this, to give you more control over it. But how can you achieve that?
We have found that meditation is probably the best way. So you might ask, does that mean I have to walk barefoot up to an almost inaccessible Himalayan cave to find a yogi to teach me, or live in a Zen monastery in Japan for 20 years? These might well be the best way to learn meditation, but for most people they are not realistic options. So do you sign up to a meditation class, and spend 3 hours a day sitting in meditation? Again, although this is slightly more acceptable, still many of us find it hard to commit several hours a day.
The good news is that there are now programs using audio technology which greatly speed up the process of meditation, so it is now possible to practise deep meditation, while at the same time carrying on with a full and busy lifestyle, without stress. You can find out more about some of these, and other aspects of using the law of attraction, by going to our “Design Your Life” blog. Just click on the link below.
