The Power of Positive Affirmations
A cliche that you usually hear from a movie or television show is, “It’s all in the mind.” When you hear this statement, it is being suggested that all the things that happen in your life, every little thing that you experience is brought about by your thinking. Yes, your mind is a powerful source of eventful situations. This is not unknown to many, especially to the people who have successfully made history in the world.
Positive affirmations are a facet of a law that governs the universe. This law has been here since the world began and it is connected to the minds of every human being. The law of attraction is the universal law that governs you and every other individual on earth. This law states that anything you conceive in your mind can easily be achieved. The law of attraction exempts no one; each person is under the power of this law.
What does this law have to do with positive affirmations? How does this bring about the mishaps in your life? Imagine that your mind is a magnet that attracts every small thing that it thinks of. Visualize yourself thinking about your troubles all throughout the day. What does your mind do? It attracts negative things so they happen to you. When you think about problems more than positive affirmations, more problems come to you. When you put yourself on the negative side of things, they crop up more and more. That is how the law of attraction works.
Now, how are you going to make the law work in your favor? The answer lies in positive thinking. The solution is in prioritizing favorable thoughts more than negative ones. Envision yourself having paid your home mortgage or having been promoted at work. See yourself successful and feel like success is already in your hands. Repeat these thoughts over and over until you vibrate them to the universe. Soon, the universe is going to give you what you attract. Soon, all your positive affirmations will be transformed into reality. That is exactly how you can let the law work in your favor.

If you want a rational explanation of these things, here it is:
When you focus yourself on positive affirmations, you do not only attract them to come to you; you also begin to act to get these things done. When you put your concentration on these things, they become part of you and you become them. This is the ultimate reason why you should think of things as though you already have them, so that they become part of you and you achieve them.
The same thing works for negative thoughts, but since these are detrimental for you, they should be thrown out of the window. If you let positive thoughts govern your life, there nothing that you cannot have.

Living The Law of Attraction
There are two types of laws in the universe:
1. Man made laws, and
2. Natural Laws
If you violate man made laws, you may or may not get caught.
If you violate Natural Laws, you will always get caught, there is no exception.
Natural Laws can be divided into two categories:
1. Physical
2. Mental
Physical laws can be proven by experiment.
Mental laws can only be proven by experience and intuition and by demonstrating their effectiveness in your life.
Mental laws are like physical laws in that they are also enforced 100% of the time. Mental laws, although their physical effects cannot be seen so easily all of the time, such as gravity everywhere in the world, also work 100% of the time.
Whenever your life is going great, it usually means that your thoughts and activities are aligned and in harmony with these invisible mental laws. Whenever you are having problems in your life, it is almost always because you have violated one or more of these mental laws, whether you know about them or not.
You can always tell if you have violated mental laws by the results you get, either positive or negative.
One of these mental laws is the “Law of Attraction“. You are a living magnet and inevitably attract into your life, people and situations in harmony with your dominant thoughts. Your entire world is of your own making. The more emotion you apply to a thought, the more rapidly you attract people or situations in harmony with that thought into your life.
The book, The Secret, has been around for quite a long time and has changed millions of lives across the world. If you have read The Secret you know that “the secret” is just another word for the Law Of Attraction. A Very powerful law that allows everyone to be, do or have anything they want.

Consider the following example. An individual makes a wish that he or she want to buy a new home. As soon as this wish is made, the forces of universe start building the favorable environment to get the wish granted. However, at the second thought, the individual thinks that he or she might not be able to afford it. This instantaneously reverses the gear and bridges the gap between the individual and his wish. So, the rules of attraction immediately fail and the reason lies in the thought process of the individual.
Most of the time, you will find experts that criticize the attraction law as nothing more than hype. However, there are some experts who can establish the essence of this law in improving one’s life.
Most people, sometime in their life, come to the realization that there is something missing. That there must be something more to life that the life they are living today. Achieving your goals; Focus Focus Focus
The first few steps of this process are;
Working out what you want to achieve
Deciding to achieve it
Committing to those goals (no matter what)
Writing down your goals in specific detail.
The next step using the Law of Attraction principles is to focus on your goals. The good news is, once you complete these steps, you are already closer to your goals than you were last year.
However, this process may bring up a few surprises for you. For many years I had always thought that ‘more money’ was one of my top priorities. Then one day I started a journal and wrote down my top 20 goals in priority order. ‘More money’ wasn’t even in the top 5 and this discovery totally changed my life path. Ironically, just after I made this discovery I was given a large pay increase at work and offered a promotion, which basically meant a fancy title but didn’t involve any extra workload! Result.
It proved that I was right to get clear about the priority of the ‘more money’ goal, as earning more money didn’t actually make me any happier, but it did make my life a lot less stressful when it came time to pay my bills, which is why I didn’t take it off the list altogether.
It is therefore always really important to think carefully not just about your goals, but the priority of your goals.
So once you have a clear list of goals and their priority in your mind, you can really start to focus on them in order. Spend more time focusing on the goals that are going to take longer to achieve or will mean a big commitment to achieve, but use the smaller goals to get the feel good factor. An example of this is weight loss – if you have 50 lbs to lose, you’re not going to lose it in a week or a month, but with commitment and dedication, you could do it in a year.
However, as I always stress to my clients – when you have a mini goal of losing just 5 lbs or losing a dress size within this month, it will give you a real buzz when you achieve your mini goal and really helps you to focus on how to achieve the loss of the other 45lbs.
When you feel positive about your goals, and more importantly the results of your goals, you are using the Law of Attraction. The basic principle of which is ‘like attracts like’.
So be positive and spend time each day focusing on your goals and more importantly, the results of your goals – really think about the positive benefits of achieving what you want.

Why Many Success Programs Fail – Debunking the Law of Attraction
Over the last few years there has been lots of discussion and books about the Law of Attraction. The most notable has been the phenomenon known as the Secret. Hours of television time has been devoted to it.
What is the Law of Attraction? The definition of the Law of Attraction says that you attract into your life whatever you think about. Your dominant thought will find a way to manifest.
So think about money and it shows up. Same with super models, yachts, Lamborghini’s etc. I guess then if you believe in this, if something shows up in your life, you thought about it. So you must have thought about that sickness, layoff or broken down car as well.
The reality is that the Law of Attraction is just not true. In order to be true, a scientific law must always apply under the same conditions. Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation is a good example of a law which always applies. In short everyone on earth that throws a tennis ball in the air will have it return to earth. If the Law of Attraction were truly a law, everyone who wished to be rich would be. Since they are not, there is no “law” of attraction. That is enough science for one ebook. Law of Attraction Workshop and the Role of Discipline
Staying disciplined is an important principle of using the Law of Attraction to achieve your goals as Law of Attraction workshops teach. In the most recent issue of Psychology Today in an article entitled “Tame Your Temptations,” Susan Carnell wrote that we often break our resolutions because we overtax our impulse control.* If you are finding it difficult to stay focused on the prize, there are a few things you can do to increase your mental stamina.
In order to bring about real change, we often have to undo years of programming, learn new habits, and rebuild our lifestyles and friendships. This is of course why it’s so hard to teach old dogs new tricks. Carnell suggests that the willpower can become fatigued, so we should try to resist one temptation at a time. For example, if you are serious about giving your life a Law of Attraction make-over, but you’ve never meditated, visualized, or said affirmations before, you might struggle enacting the plan. Carnell recommends, perhaps, just building the habit of meditating, then adding visualizing to the routine, and so on. To demand 3 or 4 new concentrated, focused habits out of yourself daily can be over-doing it.
Another way to stay disciplined is by removing the distractions completely from your reality, rather than thinking you can be around the temptations and just have the willpower to say no, why torture yourself? If, for example, losing weight is what you are passionate and purposeful about, then don’t even have fatty, unhealthy foods in your home. If your family wants to eat them, ask them to store the items hidden from you. Again, if you are having trouble focusing when you meditate, pick a quieter, more secluded area or go somewhere outside your home where the bills stacked up on the counter won’t be calling to you.
We can also borrow from Alcoholics Anonymous here. Think of the millions of people worldwide who have gotten the focus they needed to change from AA. For example, use the mantra “one day at a time.” Rather than saying, “I’m going to visualize 3 times a day for the rest of my life—eek!” say, “I’m going to visualize 3 times today.” You may also want to find yourself a “law of attraction” coach, similar to an AA sponsor. If you aren’t around people who regularly visualize, say affirmations, practice gratitude and the like then you are going to feel left in the dark. Connect with a life coach or even a friend online who can support, motivate, and encourage you to stay disciplined.
Furthermore, when we do things we feel lukewarm about, it can be hard to keep them up day after day. For example, an alcoholic has to be 100% dedicated and serious about sobriety, or they will fail. How can you find the passion and purpose you may struggle with? Ask yourself at what moment did you know you needed to lose weight, wanted to make more money, or dreamed of a better job? Mull over this moment until you figure out the driving factor…do you just love a challenge? Is your health in critical condition? Are you wasting your potential? Once you put your finger on why achieving your goal is so important, surround yourself with reminders of that. Tape pictures of super models in bikinis to your kitchen cabinets. Write your prosperity affirmations in the memos of your checks when you write out the bills. If you don’t forget why, you won’t struggle so much with how, when, what if, and why not.

I want to give you a little example of the law of attraction at this time. A true story from when I was younger.
I was learning how to play the Guitar and had a cheap one. First I have to tell you my Parents had 5 children I am the youngest (and no I have never been spoiled…) we were Lower middle class and there was never enough for extras.
Anyway I use to go into the local music store and I use to look at this one electric Guitar. Wow I thought about it day and night and I only mentioned it once to my Mom and left it at that. My parents could never afford things like that. I never asked for things and I never got them.
Day after day I would go down to the store to see this guitar and I would see it in my hands and how it played it was already mine in my mind.
It Cost $85.00 then. One day I came home from the music store and my Mother said that my Dad wanted to talk to me. He told me I was learning the Guitar really well and thought I deserved a better one. He gave me $90.00 in my shaking hands and said it was the least he could do for me.
My faith or should I say Belief was herd and answered?
I went to the store and I bought that guitar. The shop keeper was happy for me as well.
I never asked my parents for the money but I was on the same wavelength of the Universal, Creative thought.
I asked, I truly believed, and I anticipated receiving.
Anything you desire no matter how small or great comes to you in the same manner.
Ask…Believe…Receive. Do not think twice or sabotage your goals. Believe…no room for doubt.
Be positive and don’t let any thing or one stop you. Negative thoughts Have no room in your life.
Become aware of what you think about. When you see the Negative thoughts coming see them for what they are and they will have no room in your life.
Replace them with positive thoughts. Never say I think I can always say I can and will.
Remember it is you that creates your world…Good or bad. Ever know some one who is always worrying about their health… they are always sick. You create things good or bad. What you think about the most is what you create for yourself.
Never think about what you don’t have only think about what you will have. You will draw the resources you need to you. You will manifest into your life that which is on your mind the most and have all the abundance you want.
Never think about being in debt because that is what you will create more of.
Always be grateful for what you have and thankful. That puts you on the same wavelength of the thought energy and you will create the positive changes you seek to have in your life.
Every morning when you wake up say to yourself… I am greatfull and thankful for such a great day. Say it threw out the day.
You will begin to see a better you if you don’t allow negative thoughts to run you.
Always look at the best and you will have it.
It takes time to master but your life will be forever exciting and abundant.
Study hard and change your life and your world and you can have anything you want, go anywhere you want and be anything you want to be. Just ask…Beleive…and Receive.

Losing Weight With The Law Of Attraction
When people first learn about the Law of Attraction, the concept of vibrational frequency is sometimes difficult to grasp. They understand that the Law of Attraction will keep returning more of whatever they focus on the most, but how does that relate to the “frequency” they are emitting to the universe?
If this concept has confused you too occasionally, fear not. It’s very simple:
Every thought you think has a frequency of “vibration” and every thought will immediately begin attracting other thoughts that have the same or similar frequency. Negative thoughts attract more negative thoughts. Positive thoughts attract more positive thoughts.
Most often this is a gradual process: First you think one thought. More thoughts of the same frequency start flowing through your mind. After days or weeks of this, the essence of those thoughts will begin manifesting in physical reality.
When it comes to your body, all it takes is one “fat thought” to start attracting more. As you keep focused on these “fat thoughts”, you begin the process of manifesting excess weight on your body. Your physical actions come into play with this process too; your negative thinking makes you feel bad so you start craving comfort foods to make you feel better, so you end up eating more than your body really needs.
If this negative trend continues over a period of months or years, you create the reality of being overweight.
Now comes the hard part. You decide to lose weight and try to do it purely by physical means (diet, exercise) but it seems unbelievably hard to do. That’s because your thoughts are still resonating on the frequency of being overweight.
It’s not impossible to overcome these negative thoughts and still lose weight – but it takes a tremendous amount of willpower and determination.
An easier way would be to first start adjusting your thoughts. Start thinking positive thoughts related to being healthy, slender, fit, and trim. As you think thoughts like these, you begin resonating on that energetic frequency, and you begin attracting even more “thin thoughts”.
If you continue with this process for long enough (usually within a few days or even a couple of weeks) you’ll begin to notice that your physical habits are changing. Suddenly you don’t feel so tempted to eat “junk food” as often as you used to. Your portion sizes may decrease, and you may start feeling inspired to take long walks outside, join a dance class, or engage in other fun physical activities.
As you keep focusing more and more on feeling good and loving your body (thinking those “thin thoughts”!), the process of inner and outer transformation will continue.
There are a few snags that can be encountered along the way, but in a nutshell your aim is to stay focused on your slender, beautiful, healthy body as often as you can. Just doing that alone should inspire some great changes that convince you of the power of energetic frequency when using the Law of Attraction to lose weight.

Law Of Attraction: How To Stay Focused Every Day
It’s easy enough to understand the concept behind the Law of Attraction (LOA) – we get what we focus on. In our busy lives however it’s not always easy to stay focused on what we want so I developed this simple schedule to help me stay on track. It’s the routine I used every day to create the dream life I live now.
First thing
On waking, the first thing I do is spend a few minutes appreciating whatever I can in my immediate surroundings. For example, my comfortable bed, a good night’s sleep, the fact that the sun is shining again and my plans for the day. I used to be woken by an alarm clock, but even then I tried my best to appreciate knowing that I was needed somewhere or that I was employed and being paid.
In the bathroom, I smile at my reflection in the mirror, wish myself good morning and tell myself “I love you”; you can do this silently if you’re worried about being overheard, but don’t skip it.
Preparing for the day
I usually do this while having breakfast. I simply think about my plans and how my day will be organised and spend a few seconds “feeling ahead” for each segment to see if any negative emotions come up. If they do, I’ll spend a couple of minutes thinking what it is about that time period that I don’t like or don’t want .. and then immediately ask myself “ok, what do I want and how do I want to feel?” This pivoting is something I’ll continue to do throughout the day, whenever a negative feeling comes up.
If I have a really busy day ahead, I’ll also spend some time allocating some of my tasks to the Universe. Esther Hicks calls this the “Placemat Process”; imagine a placemat with a line drawn down the middle. On the left is what I intend to complete that day myself, and on the right are the tasks I hand over to the Universe to deal with. Now I don’t have to think of them again today.
Throughout the day I continually refocus on the mantra “I want to feel good” and often just saying/thinking that is enough to break a negative chain of thought.
Refocusing during the day
Just before moving into a new portion of the day, for example as I leave the house or when I start a new piece of work, I’ll pause and decide what I intend for that segment. This is a simple one-line statement and would be something like “I intend a safe and quick journey”, “I intend to complete this work easily and do a great job.” The idea is simply to set my intention and to refocus on the next section of the day.
Ending the day
At the end of the day, I want to go to sleep with the memory of all the good things that happened. For me, it really helps to write them down so I have a special, beautiful journal that I keep only for that. I spend some time savoring everything I can appreciate about the day, congratulate myself for all the times I held to my positive attitude and set my intention for the last segment – a refreshing, peaceful sleep.
This simple schedule helps me to stay focused and enabled me to manifest the life of my dreams.

The secret to success with the law of attraction lays in two main areas: firstly within the knowledge itself about how this actually works and secondly within the application of the ideas i.e how to use it. These are fundamental to using the law of attraction so they need exploring fully.

They see this concept as the same or similar to positive thinking, leading themselves down the path of affirmations and declarations of intent but this massive understanding about the nature of reality is far beyond affirmations. Because of this these affirmations will not work until there is more of an acceptance to the actual connection between thoughts and events. The first secret is this: Until a person fully accepts and believes that their thoughts literally ‘create’ the events in their experience they will not succeed. This is one of the most important understandings within this process that will lead to your conscious ability to choose your experience and it is one that you must master before any real understanding or success can take place.
Know Yourself
With the understanding and connection made between thoughts and experience, there is now the opportunity for this natural and amazing process to start but once again without the proper application of these new understandings nothing or very little will happen. The basic concept of the law of attraction is that your beliefs create your experience. Key to success then is the ability to fully understand your own beliefs. This sounds pretty simple eh? Not so because understanding your own belief systems in any way is by far the most challenging process that anyone can undertake. It takes years of application and dedication along with a bunch of bravery and commitment too. However once you do that, and become expert at changing your beliefs and ideas at will then you can create anything you like. The 2nd secret then here is this: until you go through the process of exploring your conscious and unconscious mind completely, you will never be able to actualise your creative abilities as you will have too many limiting beliefs in the way
The secret to success with the law of attraction is really a commitment to the path and a complete reorganisation of your beliefs and understandings of who you are, what reality is and how you relate to it. This journey is not for the faint hearted of course but just think of the prize before you sign of from this idea. The prize is to understand the nature of reality and its workings to such a degree that you are able to consciously choose your experience and that is a prize worth the journey and challenge.
