<p>Do you find your life more complicated than you&#8217;d like it to be?</p>
<p>Does it have twists and turns, when you wish it would roll along in a little straighter direction?</p>
<p>If your life sometimes seems complicated, it&#8217;s helpful to know that a conscious journey through life necessarily has lots of twists and turns.</p>
<p>A conscious journey through life isn&#8217;t going to proceed in a straight line toward your goals. If you are present in your life, your life isn&#8217;t necessarily going to line up with your intentions.</p>
<p>While goals may emerge from consciousness, often they are something we impose on life based on our egoic beliefs. To have intentions very easily generates a lot of tensionin life.</p>
<p>Why does a conscious journey through life twist and turn? Why can&#8217;t it go straight ahead, especially if we have a clear vision of what we want for our life?</p>
<p>To be present in our life, truly awake to what&#8217;s happening, requires us to interact fully with the actual moment we are experiencing.</p>
<p>We encounter each moment just as it is.</p>
<p>This is fundamentally different from following a set plan that dictates our experience and thereby rides roughshod over what may be happening in this moment now.</p>
<p>The reality is that what&#8217;s happening in any given moment is often contrary to what we tell ourselves ought to be happening.</p>
<p>Consciousness generates flow. If you look at a map of a river, it doesn&#8217;t head straight for the ocean. It meanders through the scenery in all kinds of different directions, taking a turn this way, then perhaps a turn in exactly the opposite direction. Yet its mighty flow gets it where it needs to go.</p>
<p>Because consciousness is universal, so that its presence is experienced everywhere if we are attuned to it, our journey doesn&#8217;t need to follow a straight line. This makes for a much more interesting, beautiful journey—once we give up our belief that we have to go in a particular direction.</p>
<p>This is vividly pictured in the <a href="http://mind-max.com/tag/story-of-the-little-prince/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag nofollow" title="Posts tagged with story of the little prince">story of the Little Prince</a> when the airman suggests that he should make a rope for the sheep. The Little Prince is horrified. Why would his sheep need a rope?</p>
<p>The pilot answers that by tying the sheep up, it will be unable to wander away and get lost—to which the Little Prince laughs because his planet is so small that the sheep can&#8217;t get lost.</p>
<p>The idea of tying the sheep to a stake is an image of how we try to control our spiritual journey. We want it to go a certain way.</p>
<p>But as Jesus said, speaking of spirit which is divine consciousness, it&#8217;s like the wind that blows wherever it will. It can&#8217;t be controlled and contained.</p>
<p>To attempt to direct our life is to fall back under the control of the boa constrictor. It&#8217;s what ego does, not consciousness.</p>
<p>When the pilot suggests he might just wander straight ahead, the Little Prince answers that straight ahead you can&#8217;t go very far.</p>
<p>There is wonderful symbolism in this conversation. When we begin to awaken from our boa constrictor mentality, we have nothing to fear in terms of going off course. No matter what direction we go, we will increase in consciousness because we will learn from all our experiences how to be more aware.</p>
<p>As I look back on my life, there were times when I felt incredibly lost. I wondered if I was ever going to emerge from such dark periods. Perhaps you have experienced similar dark nights of the soul.</p>
<p>But emerge I did, each time more deeply in tune with my true being. As the saying goes, I&#8217;ve learned that &#8220;it&#8217;s all good&#8221; because in the end it&#8217;s all the self-manifestation of God.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When it comes to achieving their goals most people struggle in two key areas: they don&#8217;t know what they want (their dream) and they don&#8217;t know how to take their dream and turn it into reality. The key part of making a positive change in your life is to have a strong dream and turn it into a realistic vision. </p>
<p>&#8220;A dream is the process of Imagination; A vision is the process of creation&#8221;<br />Ange Marsden</p>
<p>Here are some steps for finding out what your dreams are and turning them into a realistic, achieveable vision through goal setting. First look at your past. Set aside some time, maybe a day or even a week to be alone and think about your life. Write down what you love doing and what you dislike doing. It may help to go through all the jobs you&#8217;ve had in the past and pull out the parts of each job you did really well or loved doing. If you are planning to lose weight or deal with a habit or addiction, look at what you&#8217;ve done in the past and what did and didn&#8217;t work for you &#8211; there&#8217;s no point in going about things the same way if they didn;t work last time!</p>
<p>Daydream &#8211; this is the fun part! Imagine what you would do on your perfect day at work or at home. The two key points here are to: Discover a clear vision of what you really want to achieve and discover a strong &#8220;WHY&#8221;. The stronger your WHY, the easier it will be to stay focussed on your goals. </p>
<p>Fill the gap. To earn more you need to be worth more. What do you need to do to &#8220;upgrade&#8221; youself to pay for the extra income you desire? If you want more time, how can you make changes to your current lifestyle to find more? Write a list of what you need to &#8220;fill the gap&#8221; and another list of things you need to research. Next, do the research you need to fill in your information gaps. By now you&#8217;ll have a picture of where you are today, where you want to be and what you have to do to get from one to another. Write a SMART; Specific, Measureable, Achieveable, Realistic and Time specific. Break your goal down into smaller steps, or mini goals, that you need to take along the way.</p>
<p>Remember to celebrate! Many people are too hard on themselves and then fail to achieve their goals. Break your big goal down into lots of little tasks and lots of little celebrations. You don&#8217;t have to have a massive party every time but remember to give yourself a pat on the back or treat yourself to a manicure or a bottle of nice wine when you reach your targets.</p>
<p>Reveiw your progress every 90 days and see where your heading. If you&#8217;re off course do another &#8220;stock take&#8221; of what&#8217;s working, what&#8217;s not and what you need to learn. Reset new goals and KEEP GOING. Like an infant learning to walk, you&#8217;re going to fall over a few times but you&#8217;ll be glad you kept going rather than gave up and spent your life crawling!</p>

I’d like to share with you three easy strategies that you can use right away to improve the results that you are currently getting!</p>
<p>Your success at manifesting any dream or goal is closely tied to your daily efforts. Using the following three tips will get you on the right path.</p>
<p>LOA Supercharger #1 &#8211; Set clear goals and objectives &#8211; You have to know where you want to end up before you can figure out how to get there. Without clear and specific goals you will always struggle to get the results you are after. Always!</p>
<p>You don’t want vague results, do you? I didn’t think so… but unless you have a crystal clear vision of what you want you will struggle and never really feel satisfied. How can you? Without knowing exactly what you want, you will never know if you have achieved it,  or if you’ve reached it… you get no satisfaction, because there is no end result!</p>
<p>LOA Supercharger #2 &#8211; Improve your time management skills. Don’t be put off by this one. Time management is just a name for making the most of the time that you have! Now, if you are like most people, you have a lot to do, and it often seems like it all needs to be done right now! Your life is full, isn’t it?</p>
<p>But it may be full of things that you don’t want, and that’s where managing your time comes in. You have to decide what is important to you and you have to decide to make those things a priority in your life. You will only take action and move toward those things that you decide are a priority.</p>
<p>LOA Supercharger #3 &#8211; Commit to improving on a <a href="http://mind-max.com/tag/daily-basis/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag nofollow" title="Posts tagged with daily basis">daily basis</a>. &#8211; Don’t wait for that one big action or big result to bring your dreams to life. True success is seldom the result of a single thought or action.</p>
<p>It is the small, constant growth that will carry you toward your dreams. Sure, we all love big explosive spurts of growth, especially in the financial area of our lives, but it is the constant reaching, the constant striving to improve our own world that ultimately leads us to success. Seek everyday to take some action toward your dream.</p>
<p>Attracting success is a matter of being aligned with what you say you want.
